For the power part, the circuit of the LED-based reading light uses a bridge rectifier to connect to the secondary coil of a 0-7.5V, 500mA step-down transformer X1. The pulsating DC rectifier from the output is provided to the input of the regulator IC1 for pure DC output. All LEDs (LED1 to LED10) are connected in parallel to the output of the regulator. The resistors R1 to R10 are connected in series with the LED to limit the current.
