This circuit provides an effective solution for the mechanical switch or relay to switch on the power supply voltage. However, the relay and its related components take up a lot of space and therefore cannot be accommodated in a standard switch box. As shown in the figure, the smart switch circuit provides a better alternative. It is just an on/off controller, and the circuit it uses is like a normal switch.
