The Booch method is a method for object-oriented software development and is composed of an object modeling language, an iterative object-oriented development process, and a set of recommended practices. The Booch ODD method was created by Grady Booch in 1992 and is widely used in software engineering for object-oriented analysis and design and benefited from numerous documentation and support tools. Modeling is a central part of all the activities that lead up to the deployment of good software. As shown in the diagram, Booch ODD covers the analysis and design phases of an object-oriented system. The Booch ODD method diagram defines different models to describe a system and it supports the iterative and incremental development of systems.
