Basic electrical or circuit layouts are a simple and effective way of showing pictorially the electrical connections, components, and operations of a particular electrical circuit or system. As shown in the below image, a basic electrical circuit diagram illustrates the symbols and represents electrical and electronic devices, and shows how they are electrically connected together while drawing lines between them represent the wires or component leads. The basic electrical diagram symbol mostly has a ground symbol that can be used for a zero potential reference point, a resistor that shows thermal and preset resistors. Another important basic electrical symbol is a switch that disconnects the current when open.
