A Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) is a flow chart method that models the steps of a planned business process from end-to-end. BPMN is considered an important aspect of any Business Process Management to illustrate a sequence of business activities and information flows needed to complete any given task. In the following BPMN diagram, we understand the entire process of buying a phone. Smartphones these days have become an integral part of our lives and as the BPMN diagram shows when a customer requests to buy a new phone, the request goes to the assistant at the shop who will check if the required phone is available or otherwise. If the smartphone is available and the customer has the money then they pay the requested amount to the counter, who in return provides them the phone.
