The blood vessels are channeled to supply blood in different parts of the body, and based on their functions, they are of three different types, arteries, capillaries, and veins. The arteries mainly carry blood from the heart and three distinct layers, namely tunica externa, tunica media, and tunica intima. Veins function to supply blood to the heart; like arteries, they also have three layers, tunica externa, tunica media, and tunica intima.
