The Narrative Writing Graphic Organizer is a lot more than the basic organizer templates. It focuses more on the sensory details that are a critical aspect of any children’s story. Apart from writing different scenes of the narratives and brainstorming the sensory details, the organizer also allows students to draw each scene.
A short summary of the scene should be provided at the beginning before drawing a picture of the scene and then talking about the sensory details, including see, hear, smell, taste, and feel. Students can write their own narratives and list all the sensory details they can imagine for the same. It can be used during or before the narrative drafting process to extend the available student evidence options.
