You all know that diode is a semiconductor that works as a rectifier. Through this, we can easily convert AC into DC. Same as SCR is also a set of single diode which is activated when a positive signal is entered into its gate pin. But here in this circuit, we create an SCR only using a couple of transistors. What is an SCR? A silicon-controlled rectifier or semiconductor-controlled rectifier is a four-layer solid-state current-controlling device. These come in various types sizes for their different functions such as for device uses, for industrial uses, and many more. Through this, you can also convert any AC signal into a DC signal. These are mainly used in power regulators, lamp dimming, and motor control. Components Needed; 1) 2x 1K Resistance 2) BC547 and BC557 Transistor
