1. Introduction

As several people have started online dating, there is an ugly side to it as well. The following bar chart diagram illustrates the ugly truth of dating. A group of students at Columbia Business School was asked to rate the importance of attributes of potential dates at a speed dating event. They were asked to distribute 100 points among the six attributes based on the attributes' importance in dating decisions. 

As per the survey, males value attractiveness more than females. Females value intelligence more than males. Males and females are on the same page when it comes to fun. Males value sincerity less than females, and females value shared interests more than males. Lastly, males value ambition less than females.

The bars in a side-by-side bar chart are divided into colored bar segments. The bar segments are stacked on top of one another. 

3. How to Create a Side by Side Bar Chart
