A bakery is an establishment that produces and sells flour-based food baked in an oven, such as bread, cookies, cakes, pastries, and pies. The Baking Store Process Diagram illustrates the overall process that happens when a customer places an order and how the chef starts preparing the cookies/pastries/or any other related consumable items. As the baking store diagram illustrates, a batch process is a process in which one batch is made and finished before the other is started. In a small-scale bakery, most processes will be batch. It should be noted here that baking is a manner of cooking food by exposing it to direct heat or heated stones for a long time under controlled temperature. When the Customer places an order, the chef selects an appropriate flour and sieves it. The chef also prepares the yeast mixture by adding the right amount of water at the right temperature into the dry yeast.
