There is a family genogram. A genogram is architecturally similar to a family tree, yet it serves a completely different function. A genogram incorporates information about family members' relationships and interactions, whereas a family tree merely illustrates lineage. When a genogram contains information about multiple generations, it becomes extremely valuable.
