This is a genergal genogram for my family. Genograms are a useful tool in social work practice for both evaluation and intervention. Historically, the genogram has been associated with work with children, adolescents, and families to investigate the quality of connections and behavioral patterns through generations. These are often family ties. In general, the genogram is effective for gathering information, evaluating relationship dynamics and behavioral patterns, improving client self-awareness, performing evaluations, and pointing practitioners to solutions.
