Building Schematics includes a detailed description of the building's systems (structural, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical) and the interior and exterior finishes, and the building site. Building Schematics aims to translate the project program into physical space drawings. The project team determines the areas, material requirements, and relationships of all required building spaces and components during schematic design. It then confirms or revises the total building square footage, total project budget, project schedule, and occupancy dates. Floor plans, site plans, and building elevations are reviewed and fine-tuned for functionality, usability, required adjacencies, code compliance, security, safety, and aesthetics.
