Venom is the title of several American comic book series, as well as the basis for an American superhero film. The plot revolves around the character Venom's various heroic and villainous incarnations. Venom is an amorphous alien known as a Symbiote that requires a human host to survive. Brock and Venom form a symbiotic relationship at the start of the story. Venom's first opponent is Spider-Man, but Brock eventually makes peace with him.
