The principles, methods, and models used in designing and implementing an enterprise's organizational structure, business processes, and IT infrastructure are referred to as Enterprise Architecture. There has been a steady increase in the number of studies conducted in this field, but there is a requirement to focus on research. This paper thoroughly reviews 177 journal publications in the field of EA available in the Science Citation Index (SCI) and Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) databases from 1974 to 2016.
