If you're simply not having a wonderful Christmas at this point in the season, you may require something more powerful, such as a Christmas movie. The holiday film is one of the few genres of cinema that doesn't value prestige over the potential to make your heart grow three sizes. Nothing hurts more than sitting down to watch a Christmas movie and discovering that it's the same cookie-cutter Hallmark offering you've seen 100 times over.
