Bus topology, ring topology, tree topology, star topology, mesh topology, and hybrid topology are the six different kinds of network topology. The topology of a network describes how its various parts are connected to one another. The two types of topology are physical and logical. All of the stops along the bus route are linked together by a single cable that serves as the network's "backbone." Each node is either hardwired or connected to the backbone cable via a drop cable.
