Animal cells are the basic unit of life in organizations of the kingdom Animalia. Animal Cells are eukaryotic cells, meaning that they have a true nucleus and specialized structures called organelles that carry out different functions. An animal cell is a type of cell that dominates most of the tissue cells in animals. As represented in the Animal Cell Diagram, animals have four cells, epithelial, connective, muscle, and bone. As the Animal Cell diagram illustrates, animal cells have an irregular structure and are made of four key parts: Nucleus, which contains the genetic material, cell membranes, which are a flexible layer that surrounds the cell and controls the substances that enter and exit.
