1. What is Plant Cell

Cells are of two types, plant cells, and animal cells. The plant cell is eukaryotic in type and has a cell wall outside it. Like animal cells, they also have developed nuclei and membrane-bound organelles. The plant cell anatomy can help the student learn about the organelles' structure present in the cytoplasm. Here is an example of the plant cell, which can help students learn about a plant cell structure and its difference from an animal cell.

2. The Characteristics of Plant Cell

Plant cells have cell walls made of cellulose, hemicelluloses, and pectin that are built outside the cell membrane. They differ from fungi, which have chitin cell walls, bacteria, which have peptidoglycan cell walls, and archaea, which have pseudopeptidoglycan cell walls. The protoplast secretes lignin or suberin as secondary wall layers inside the primary cell wall in many circumstances.

Many plant cells have a large central vacuole, a water-filled container surrounded by a membrane called the tonoplast that regulates molecular transit between the cytosol and sap, stores valuable materials like phosphorus and nitrogen, and digests waste proteins and organelles.
