A standard servo typically consists of a controlled small electric motor, a variable resistor, controller, and a mechanical gearbox. The position of the output shaft is measured by the internal variable resistor and compared with the target position set by the controller. In this case we are using a Arduino Controller.
According to the error, the Arduino adjust the actual position of the output shaft so that it matches the target position. This is known as a closed-loop control system.
