Healthcare Value Chain

This diagram shows a healthcare Porter's value chain. It is divided on the left side into three sections. First, on the upper side, there is a consumers section. In front, there's a list of what represents: Patients and caregivers, social workers, behavioralists, care managers and pharmacies, engaged clinicians, payers and employers, finance and operations and data scientists and informatists. In the left middle section, there is the word create, represented by presentation/visualization, descriptive, predictive and prescriptive, along with each description in front. On the lower part of the left side, there is manage & model. This encompasses diagnosis and clinical decision support, performance management, population health, community-based management, clinical research, data & curation and data governance & ethics. There is a separate section on the left side, named service design/ data services, and then more to the right the margin improvements, followed by improved outcomes and lower cost structures.
