A NOSSEF Campus Plan provides direction for the physical development of the campus, guiding decisions relating primarily to buildings and land use, open spaces and natural areas, and transportation and parking. It influences the functioning of campus and the experience of being on and moving through it. As the campus plan diagram suggests, it is nothing but a roadmap to guide directions for the development/improvement of the campus. From a planning point of view, the design team must create and maintain the plan and be cognizant of the process at play: thinking about the activities required to create a desired goal on some scale.
