Genogram for psychosocial assessment is shown here. For hospice patients and families, genograms are a beneficial and non-threatening assessment tool. The genogram gives fundamental information about the family, such as each member's position and family dynamics. As the pattern is created, concerns about the family life cycle and relationships among family members become apparent. The genogram may incorporate supporting neighbors, friends, and community resources in addition to the home. There is also mention of religious and spiritual help.
