As a small and traditionally more formal area, small powder rooms are a place where people aren't afraid to take a risk. They're fine with being more daring, brighter, and dramatic. Budgets usually have a little more wiggle room in this department, so you can generally have some fun with higher-end fixtures. One of my favorite spaces to design has always been small powder rooms. They're usually the smallest room in the house (at least in terms of design), making them a unique spatial challenge. You need to make the most of every square inch in those tiny, teeny weeny powder rooms.
