This Enterprise Architecture Skills Framework is commonly used but poorly defined in today's industry. They describe various practices and skills used in multiple architecture domains. Better classification is required to enable a more implicit understanding of the type of architecture/architect being described. This lack of consistency makes it hard for organizations to recruit, assign, or promote staff to fill positions in the architecture field. Because of differences in terminology, there is frequently misunderstanding and miscommunication between those seeking to recruit and those seeking to fill the various architect roles.
